Are children allowed to attend the SHIFT Mobility by themselves?
+

Children who have not yet reached age 15 are only allowed to enter the fairgrounds if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Exceptions apply only if explicitly stated on postings at the ticket office.

Can I bring animals onto the exhibition grounds?

Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the exhibition grounds. Further house rules of Berlin ExpoCenter City can be found here.

Are there IFA travel packages?

Are there shuttle buses to the Berlin Exhibition Site?
+

Yes, there are free shuttle buses to IFA and SHIFT Mobility from Tegel airport and the Park+Ride parking lot at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. Please find the shuttle plans here and here.

Is there parking available near the Berlin Exhibition Site?
+

In principle, we can only recommend to use public transport, as parking possibilities in the area are limited. The Parking Space in the International Congress Center (ICC) will be available starting mid of August. The parking ticket costs 25 euros per day or 3 euros per hour. You may also use the 5,000 extra parking spaces at the nearby Olympic Stadium. From there we offer a free shuttle bus to and back from the fairgrounds during SHIFT Mobility.

Do I need a sticker for the new Environmental Zone when arriving by car?

An Environmental Zone came into force in Berlin starting 1 January 2008. The exhibition site and ICC are located outside the Environmental Zone. Visitors arriving by car via the motorway system and entering the exhibition site directly via the interchange marked “Messegelände/Messedamm” are outside the zone and do not re

How many exhibitor badges do we obtain?
+

Exhibitor badges for exhibitors and their employees valid for the duration of the show will be issued as follows:

Bronze package: 3 passes
Silber package: 5 passes
Gold package: 5 passes
Platin package: 10 passes

If additional exhibitor passes are required they can be ordered in our online shop.

How can we obtain trade visitor vouchers?

Exhibitors can order all required trade visitors vouchers using the online shop. Only vouchers which were actually redeemed will be charged.

How many parking vouchers can be ordered?
+

Parking space within the exhibition site and in the direct neighborhood can be rented depending on availability. They can be ordered in our online shop. Parking vouchers are only issued for the entire duration of the event.

As an exhibitor you require materials to be delivered to your stand?
+

Please provide the following information:

Please note that you will be required to be present on the stand in order to take delivery of the material. It is therefore advisable to provide the forwarding company with your mobile phone number.

How much is the stand rental?

Are there additional, hidden fees to pay?
+

No. All additional fees, like the AUMA-fee, is included in the chosen package.

Do we need exhibitor badges for our stand personnel?
+

Stand personnel must have exhibitor badges. The badge is valid for the entire duration of the IFA, starting with the stand construction. Furthermore, the holder can access the exhibition site already two hours before the official opening of the show. This is not the case with day-tickets for public or trade visitors. Additional badges can be ordered in our online shop.

Whom can I contact for additional stand personnel?

Capital Services GmbH (CSG), a subsidiary of Messe Berlin GmbH, would be pleased to help you arrange hostesses and hosts; use the form “Hostesses, Hosts” in our online shop.
Personnel for stand construction and removal, as well as staff for your stand, are available from the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (German Employment Office) in Berlin.

Do you offer free entrance for children?

Yes, children up to 6 years can enter IFA without a ticket.

Do you offer free entrance for wheelchair users escorts?

Yes.

Does the SHIFT Mobility Convention ticket include free public transport within the Berlin?
+

No! SHIFT Mobility tickets or exhibitor badges do NOT entitle to use Berlin public transport like busses, metro or suburban trains for free.

Do IFA Tickets have access to SHIFT Mobility?
+

Yes, but only to the exhibition of SHIFT Mobility. If you acquire the IFA NEXT Premium Ticket, you have unlimited access to all events IFA including SHIFT Mobility.

Is SHIFT Mobility wheelchair accessible?

The Berlin Exhibition Grounds are wheelchair accessible. Download our Exhibition ground –barrier-free access plan here.

Capital Catering GmbH (CCG), a subsidiary of Messe Berlin, operates the diverse gastronomical facilities at the Berlin Exhibition Site.

I am an exhibitor. How can I order catering for my stand?

Please use form “Catering” in the online shop. CCG is also pleased to offer support with all elements of event planning and organization, including decoration, technical equipment and even stage programs. More information on www.capital-catering.com.

I need a visa – what do I need to do?
+

In July 2013 a decree was issued by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs that an invitation letter by the trade show organizer is as a rule no longer needed when applying for visa in order to attend a trade show in Germany. All Visa Centers as well as German Embassies and Consulates were informed about this decree (https://www.auma.de/en/exhibit/legal-matters/trade-fair-visa).

Moreover visa fees are waived for exhibitors at German trade fairs (see also https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/einreiseundaufenthalt/visabestimmungen-node). Please refer in your visa application to this. If an embassy insists on a letter of invitation, please contact
foreign representatives of Messe Berlin
send an e-mail to ifa@messe-berlin.de.
Additional information regarding the visa application procedure, requirements for the issue and application forms in different languages are available at the website “visa regulations” of the German Foreign Office as well as at the respective websites of the embassies and consulates general. Persons requiring a visa to enter Germany should submit their applications in good time prior to the respective trade show.
A visa application is possible up to three months before entry.

All the documents relevant for your marketing communications can be found here. Please note: Only exhibitors at SHIFT Mobility 2020 and the fair’s partners are permitted to use the logo for promotional purposes. In the event of a breach of the above rule Messe Berlin reserves the right to take legal action.
